Child Safe Standards
Keystone supports and respects all children and young people, as well as our staff and volunteers. We are committed to upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards to the best of our abilities and resources.
We are committed to:
the participation and empowerment of all children and young people.
creating a safe and inclusive environment for young people of all genders, sexual orientations, faiths, and cultural or linguistic backgrounds, including the cultural safety of Aboriginal young people.
providing a safe and inclusive environment for neurodiverse young people and those with disability.
Keystone has zero tolerance for child abuse. We will:
identify risks to child safety as early as possible and take action to remove or reduce those risks.
treat all safety concerns brought to our attention seriously and act consistently with our policies and procedures.
To protect the people we work with, we require all staff and volunteers to:
hold a current Working With Children Check.
complete online and in-person training during onboarding and regularly thereafter,
hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
To achieve this, Keystone has established:
thorough recruitment and screening processes to ensure all staff and volunteers are suitable and well-prepared.
policies, procedures, and training to support our leadership team, staff, and volunteers in meeting our commitments.
regular education and support for all team members working with children, young people, and their families.
